A few weeks ago, I bought a list of “100 Movies to See Before You Die.” After opening the list, which is also a poster and has little boxes for you to scratch off once you see each movie, I was greeted with a list that included 64 movies I have seen, 10 movies I had never heard of (2 of which were Bollywood films), and at least 30 of which I would not consider “necessary” movies. After showing the list to a few people, they expressed similar sentiments about the list, and asked me what I would put on my list of favorites and on my list of films to see before taking a dirt nap. So I began my long, arduous process of writing down 500+ of the movies I’ve seen, and then whittled it down to 100 movies per list (actually 101, but more on that when I get to it). Yes, Millz, I know I’m crazy. Hopefully these lists will introduce you to films you’ve never seen and eventually become your favorites as well. Or, maybe you’ve seen some of them, and you’ll enjoy seeing them appear on my list, and we can bond over the awesomeness of that/those films. Here begins the countdown of my favorite movies, starting with #101-87.
